A girlfriend and I stayed one night midweek at The Myrtles Plantation during a road trip, and it was absolutely worth the stop. We did both the daytime historic tour and the evening ghost tour, and I’m so glad we experienced both sides of the property. We stayed in what I believe was a garden-side room, which was quiet, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The bed was cozy, the room felt authentic to the setting without sacrificing comfort, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a full day of exploring. The tours were fantastic—well-paced, engaging, and full of layered history. Whether you come for the architecture, the stories, or the hauntings, there’s something compelling about walking this property. What stood out most, though, was the staff. Every single person we interacted with genuinely seemed to love their job, and it shows in the way they treat guests. Warm, welcoming, knowledgeable—exactly what you hope for in a place with this much character. Would absolutely stay again.

Great place for a weekend getaway. Nice rooms, quiet location. Good restaurants and bar. Haunted tour by our guide Rainy Day was great. Did not have a bad moment or experience a uncomfortable feeling. I would recommend this place for a couple.

The grounds are well kept and clean. Everyone has been so nice and welcoming. Charles did a fantastic job on our ghost tour. We stayed in one of the garden rooms and it was worth it. Clean, comfortable bed, hot water. Would love to visit again! We did have a scary experience while sleeping. my husband felt a push to his chin hard enough to push his head back. we kept hearing noises in the corner that sounded like something metallic scraping a wood floor, but nothing there. also heard popping sounds like your ankles will make when you start walking and footsteps on the carpet. it was definitely in the room and not outside noises and it all started little after 3am the 2nd night. we stayed in the room the 1st day, 1st night, and all 2nd day with no weird noises at all. we didnt get much sleep 2nd night, definitely got spooked!

We stopped by on our drive out of New Orleans and took a tour. There was a cute coffee shop that we had turkey bacon avocado on sour dough, and a delicious mocha. I was so thankful not having to stop at a fast food drive through. The tour was informative and fun. About 45 minutes. We were welcome to walk the grounds. Clean restrooms. Side note: If you are sensitive to the other side, your internal bells will be going off. Inside, it was beautiful and I was so busy just looking around not thinking about ghosts or anything but as I entered the dining room i felt physically ill as soon as I crossed the threshold, like a punch to my stomach that made me nauseous and dizzy. (Had nothing to do with the food from the coffee shop, it was paranormal). Subsided quickly, it was not mine, it was just a knowledge given to me so strongly that it could not be ignored. It didn't stay long a couple minutes later I was back to normal. Neck hairs standing on end thinking about it now.

My husband and I went today for the 11:30 tour. The grounds are beautiful! Our guide was great! She was very knowledgeable! We experienced a chandelier shaking in the dining room and a table door repeatedly opening in the game parlor. I also lost the earring from my left ear. I felt it come off, never heard it hit the floor, looked everywhere where we were sitting. Nothing. Found that strange. It made it all the more fun! Next time we're going to stay overnight!

We went on a guided tour on a Saturday morning. Surprisingly, there wasn't a large group. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. You could tell she was passionate about what she does, and that added to our enjoyment. We walked the grounds afterward. Very beautiful and full of history. Hopefully, next time we will stay the night. We did get some coffee and a bite to eat at the cafe. Also, great service and the food was good.

We booked an evening tour that started at 8 pm. Our guide was very knowledgeable in the history of the Myrtles and the history was VERY interesting. Aside from the history the grounds were absolutely beautiful. We booked a private, 2 person tour that gave us the history of the house and we were amazed by the craftsmanship of the Myrtles. Most rooms had crown molding which was carved intricately and very beautiful. We enjoyed the tour.
